Didn't go through all 222 pages, so forgive me if this is reported already.

Has anyone else had trouble recently with muting players in lobbies? Even when I mute someone, I can still hear them on their mic. Seems to have started with one of the more recent patches.

Same for me, I have this bug for almost one year now, every time I complete an expert campaign or a Survival, I get the achievement, but a few days later, some of them disappear !!!

And the most weird stuff, is that my achievement earned inside the game are not the same as the ones inside my steam community page !!!

Almost a year and no fix, and why it seems to happen to just a few of us ?????

Having a bit of achievement issues here as well. My Steam web page indicated that I got the Akimbo Assassin achievement but the game says I have not. I have tried twice to get the achievement and on the 2nd try, it seems to have stuck. Yet when I went back into the game to look through my list and view a couple of achievement criteria, Akimbo Assassin is again missing. I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. It didn't help.

So is there a problem with the game sync'ing up with what achievement I have earned or is the game being wacky and buggy?

Ok, for the "What are you trying to prove" achievement, I got it to work finally. The only thing I did was to completely de-activate the Steam Cloud sync thing on options, so you all might give it a try.

Went through a session, finished off Blood Harvest, survived, again achieved Akimbo Assassin, amongst others. Looked at the list, shows that it's there. I even sat there for a few minutes as I browsed through the list so I can choose which ones to go for next. I had a feeling that I needed something to document this so I started hitting the screenshot key. Hopped off, took a look at the screenshots, then viewed this thread to see if there's any new posts. I fired up L4D again, skipped the intro movies like always, and went straight to the Achievements section. Now I find that I am 3 achievements short when compared to my Steam Community webpage.

I cannot even tell if this is an isolated incident or if this is a known issue with the game. Has any of this been confirmed and is it widespread? What about developer response? For some people who don't even check their steam profile page, they may find the game to be broken as a result of their achievement gone missing/AWOL just after playing the game only minutes ago.

So recently I built a new computer and thought 'great! every game i play will be super awesome now' That's the case with every game I have EXCEPT my true love L4D (and now L4D2)

Problem is, at completely random intervals my computer gets a weird graphics freeze. The sound locks up and loops as well. I cannot take screenshots of the incident unfortunately but for the most part it gives me a solid sky and ground with a few 'articat' looking buildings that are actually off in the distance from when I would be currently in the map.

Now this is the ONLY game I have any problems with. I can however quickly Alt-Tab out and come back in but it takes anywhere from 10-20 seconds and we all know thats a very long time in L4D when your fighting a mob. Anyone have any fix or seen this happen before?

Intel i5 750 processor
MSI P55-GD65 Motherboard
BFG GeForce 285 1gb Video Card
8gb DDR3 RAM
750 Watt PS
28" monitor Hans-g (damn it's overkill!)

I usually run at 1920x1200 resolution but I have also dropped it to see if that helps with no avail.

Help me Obi-wan, your my only hope....

I seem to remember having a similar problem after updating my 8600M nVidia card. I haven't tried newer drivers to see if it still happens though, I've stuck with older versions instead.

In my case, some of my achievements in the game and also in the Steam Community page disappeared, but not always the same ! And not always at the same time !

The achievements and the stats for this game are really really messy, it is pitiful.

Game crashes in Scavenge and Versus, the following engine error shows up on screen:

It almost always appears when one of the characters (I guess Coach) starts speaking, though I've never been able to get the phrase it happens on. I can't play Scavenge at all, I hope this can be fixed.
