Need help with vjoy

I want to use vjoy in order to make the game think i am using a controller and it somehow works, for the buttons, but not at all when it comes to the sticks. If i set the arrows left and right to slider- and slider+ i should be able to look left and right am i wrong? i tried with all the other options but no one moves the crosshair. Any help??
