DoW2: a bit underwhelmed
The lack of save and the short missions (so far) turned DoW into a story with some tactical shooting involved, rather than a tactical strategy game with a storyline... I preferred the first version.
(I guess it's just the different expectations.) |

There isn't really a lack of saving. And the missions actually give you more stars for completing missions faster, which in turn helps your score, which in turns helps you to get an achievement.. If you prefer the first version, then go back to it.

Dow2 COULD be over whelming but the difficulty settings don't make it that hard and the AI is not smart at all. I liked the sp in DOW1 but ejoy the DOW2 multiplayer.

Dawn of War II + Chaos Rising is better in SP Retribution + Last Stand better in MP The main diferrence, IMO, is that in Retribution you can create a army and replace the lost soldiers, but in the previous games, if a hero dye you have to revivie him, and you only have 4 heroes in each mission, so there is a little bit more strategic |
