My review on the game so far: pretty great

Hi all, just wanted to let you know what my opinion on the game is so far.

As a 32bit user I finally got the hotfix to work. No problems with that now. Today was the first day I was able to play.
And I loved it.

Single player was pretty fun, though pretty easy for the first couple of rounds. After that a mate of me saw me playing this game and wanted to try it out; so he bought it too. After a while 2 other players joined too.

Coop is just great. Although it took nearly 15 minutes to find a server that worked and where we could join both, the actual coop gameplay was insane fun. Driving the buggy with 2 players worked really well. I really like it too that you can go first person inside vehicles. Great addition. Only weird thing was that the plane was a lot weaker then the mech.

Once you get into a couple of rounds the amount if dinos really start to catch up. They're literally crawling the screen at some point. I was laughing my off when some dinos were riding with us on the buggy. Speaking about that, my mate and I found out that you can fast travel with the mech, by putting the mech on TOP of the buggy. Great fun. And by the way, give that hover bike a gun!

The dino's could use a bit of work though, especially the AI. It's good to know that they're working on that, that patch can't come quick enough, just like the server fix and 32 bit fix.

Then the graphics. I was actually pretty surprised at the amount of some detail in this game, for example the leaves falling out of the trees and the sunglare trough the branches. Quite pretty. Textures of the mountains etc could still use some work though. All in all the graphics surprised me a lot, especially when you think this game is only 10 bucks. However the sounds of the gunplay were not as good. That should really, really get some work. I want to shoot bullets, not beans (that's what it sounds like!).

All in all this actually is a pretty good game, and just pretty fun. Especially on coop. I'm looking forward to the patches that add more maps and more gamemodes (and free dlc).

Yes there are quite some bugs, but yes, there's quite a lot of fun to be had as well.

My system specs:
2GB ram
1 gb vid card
3.2 processor
I know these aren't the highest specs, but I'm playing the game on optimal graphics with it without any problem. But devs, just give players like me the 32bit support, I don't like hardfixes .

That's all, hope you liked reading this . See you ingame i hope.

Thanks For Review

I was checking this game out today, I think I will buy it.

Looks fun.

Reminds me of Turok, but it is a different game.

I like the aspect of coop and open world. Love how there are vehicles too.

Hope to find some people to play with.

Great review! and welcome to the ODB forums. A lot has been said about the game and we all want a lot more to be said as well!

I have the same system specs you listed and my copy runs pretty durn smooth also. If I turn every single option to high, then I run into some frame rate problems. Also, grenading or rocketing a raptor pack will cause massive frame drops.

feel free to add me to your friends list if you're looking for active players to game with. Currently, using Steam friends is the best way to find servers.
