Request for Canadian voice actor to work on Ham and Jam
Good friends of many of us here, the Ham and Jam crew (WWII Commonwealth stand alone mod on the Source engine) are looking for a Canadian voice actor to work on 20 sentences or so for their game.
I told them there would probably be a willing soul on these forums here looking for a line in the credits of a good mod ![]() The work is for free (or it wouldn't be posted here), and you can contact them at jobs@hamandjam.org Long live modding! |

I can give it a shot!
I'm not much of an actor, but but it'll give the team another set of sound clips to choose from ![]() |

I lived in montreal for 5 years. but thats not the accent you want. you want the toronto/ottawa standard.

I have an ottawa valley accent. I've been told it sounds like I'm "from minnasota", from people im sure have never been near minnasota.
Im sure it used to be a beautiful voice until I started boxing. Now I have a mashed up nose an a nasaly voice ![]() Should have kept my guard up |

I didn't know there was such a thing as a Canadian Accent? I personally don't see a difference when I go to the states... and most people think I'm from Philadelphia when I do. lol

I can tell pretty quick where most folks are from Canada (the accents are mostly regional...just as in the US). whether out west, French Quebec, montreal allophone, montreal anglophile (the folks who go out of their way to pronounce things as if they were the English), around toronto or ottawa.
My folks are from Louisiana. My mom was an airforce brat so she has no accent. My father though has a Louisianian drawl. I grew up outside of Washington dc and have that basic accent. which is pretty much national news american english. somewhat recognizable really only to the English, and folks from India who speak their own brand of the language. |
