is the site down? i get a page that says it is offline but my friend can get on it fine.

I'm having trouble with it. Won't load this morning at all. Was hit and miss whether the site would load last night.

I played for a couple of minutes this morning. It worked ok, but didn't have my stuff anymore from last night. I am new to this game and I am looking for peeps to team up with. Preferably newer people as well. Let's learn the ropes together!

site is down while update is being sorted or hotfix

a few servers have the fix already i think but not sure which

hotfix is supposed to be tonight but when is anyones guess

A couple servers already have a fix in place, though it's a band aid for the moment until the real hotfix comes later tonight.

The problem thats arising from it, though, is that people are experiencing two different character saves:

One on normal 1.7.2 and another on the hotfixed 1.7.2.

You should be able to tell which one has the hotfix very quickly - very quick to get in the game with minimal fuss. So far I've tested about 15 different servers, about 4 of which have a temporary fix.

The ones without the hotfix, you will probably (80% of the time, roughly) get stuck at loading or Creating a Character that will hang for a solid 5-10 minutes.

Some servers still don't seem to have the fix, regardless of when it was released.

Although while on that same topic: Why is it that most servers are locked to daylight? Night is so, so much easier to get into and out of cities without being swarmed by zombies.
