For a high-end system I agree, unless you're a benchmark junkie.
My i5/670 doesn't get OC'd, I did do it just to look how high.... gtx670, 1.2ghz chip with 7ghz vram, only for a few runs of Heaven to check it was stable, it was, and could have pushed for more. I had my 2500k up to 4.8ghz, again just for testing. Games called so I reset to factory. I do remember jumpers but not as far back as a 486... just early pentiums. Basically, it's making your CPU/RAM/GPU run at a higher clock speed than it came with.
