Shadowgrounds issue

I am currently receiving the following error window whenever I attempt to start Shadowgrounds through Steam.

(The procedure * could not be located in the DLL storm3dv2.dll. )

The game does not even launch. :/

This game was purchased through Steam today.
Downloaded and installed today.
I have run the configuration program and received no issues.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience as I would like very much to play this game.

P.S. I am also having an additional slightly different issue with Trine. It also never launches.

Whenever I attempt to start Trine through Steam.

(Operation failed with 0x8007047F

The specified program is not a Windows or MS-DOS program.)

Can you post your system specs?

Does Shadowgrounds Survivor work?

If your system has a decent graphics card, then this could be an issue with graphics card drivers, or DirectX. Try updating those if you can.

Let me know.

Shadowgrounds Survivor doesn't work either, the same issue arises.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both in case something just went wrong with the installer but that has rendered the same results.

OS: Windows 7 Pro N x64
Version 6.1.7600

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz, 2834 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

RAM: 8 GB

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series

Is there anything else you need that I'm missing?

I have updated after writing this post and there has been no change, I am getting an identical error.

Ah, Windows 7 Pro N. That explains everything (I hope).

You need the Windows Media Pack, which can be found for example here.

I installed the package and have been able to play Shadowgrounds just fine without a single issue.

I am still installing Shadowgrounds:Survivor and Trine but I don't foresee any issues.

I'm using windows 7 Professional x64, but the package you linked to doesn't seem to be correct for my version, and I am getting a similar error, just with fmod.dll. Any other suggestions?
