Have Groupees DLCs are all the other DLCs unlockable in game?
Groupees gave us Scorched and BDI rollup.
I noticed the other DLC packs mention that you can naturally unlock what they're offering. Is that the same with the Holiday skins? |

Can't unlock the rest of them except via DLC.
You used to get timed things where you could unlock them by playing for a certain number of hours. This hasn't happened for years since the developers abandoned the game. |

Just for the record, the devs abandoned the game because the MP community died, not the other way around.
A real shame, since the multiplayer was amazingly fun. =( |

Yup.
Madballs was a really funny MP game ... as long as it lasted.

That's not true in the slightest. Plenty of people were still playing this game even after devs decided to drop all support.

They didn't even have the decency to say they were dropping the game, they just cut all contact and dropped their servers. |

However, the servers are still up. Curiously enough, whenever this game goes on sale (usually during Steam holidays) or is part of an indie bundle the devs take the servers down. Once the sale ends, the servers are back up. The Groupees Be Mine bundle was around for 5 days or so and the devs disabled their own servers. The bundle is now over and the 3 Playbrains servers are back up. Hilarious really. I think they're doing this as a messed up way of justification claiming no one wants to play this game and no one is interested in it. The devs are still around on the Steam forums. They frequent their other game "Sideway" but never check here. It's astonishing really. Advertising on Steam and using Steamworks costs nothing for developers. They could easily have a free weekend and sell the game for $2.50 and make free cash with no effort or work required but it appears they just don't care. |
