Smile Character Artist seeking work

Hi all, I'm a 3D artist from London currently studying traditional art and looking for work - ideally character art but would also love the opportunity to work in any aspect of development art, e.g. environments, junior positions, etc. Currently looking for paid work rather than royalties, etc.

If you'd like to view some of my work, please do so at:

www.philipmehr.carbonmade.com

Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon

Maybe when I get Flex engine out, I need some 3D artists to work with, because I can model, but I need someone to make the model sexshy! But hey, I'm 13, so I can dream on.

You're good! The last image is what I imagine Siddhartha Gautama looked like. Your ability to create outstanding low poly models with stylistic textures really shows in that furry warrior guy (the sixth image).

I think you guys have given me too much praise as I still have a lot to learn, but I appreciate it nonetheless!

I'm still looking for work if anyone needs a 3D artist for their team, happy to work on props too - just drop me an email at philipmehr@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks!

Could I see some work you've ported to the Source engine?

Hi ProZak, unfortunately I haven't had much experience with the Source engine but would like to learn more about it (currently I've been trying Unity and UDK for showcasing my work, but am always happy to learn something new.)

If you need any information, please drop me an email at philmehr.art@gmail.com

Thanks

ProZak - I wish I had some assets to show in source, unfortunately mainly use UDK and haven't really touched the source engine, would like to learn it a littel though.

Updated with a speed sculpt

Any chance you could do a simple prop that would fit into the Half-Life 2 universe? I'm quite interested in seeing your work

Lol those model above are superb! But I guess they are far too high-poly for Source xD

Modelling for Source is nothing compared to what you are doing over there. Don't waste your time modelling for an old engine that Valve doesn't even support (I'm actually talking as a mapper now...)

I mean Valve has recently intentionally built a leak in Counter-Strike: Source to force people to go over to CS:GO.

If you are really going to model for Source... Better do it for the Portal engine or the incoming CS:GO, that would be more something for your work.
PS: I'm a modeller but not for characters and animals, and I'm especially not a texture designer (I mean I can make textures from photo's and such but just the very basic things).
