Anybody for co-oping later tonight? SL60ish

Not sure if this is frowned upon on these forums, let me know if so.

With summoning being so undependable I'm looking for somebody that'd be interested in running through the game together. I just finished up Anor Londo last night, so I guess I'm left with the New Londo Ruins and Demon Ruins to go through next. I'm willing to help with your progression too, though I get the impression that I'm a little behind in story progression and ahead in SL.

Gamertag is Wulf2k and I'll be on around 9 PM CDT. Let me know here with your SL and what you're up for if you're interested, as I won't be on GFWL till tonight.

Also, I'm interested in playing with somebody that still finds the game a challenge and isn't twinked out. Not that I have anything against optimization, but it's still my first run through the game and I'd like to face the challenge with somebody instead of just following along while it's cleared for me.

I'm always up for jolly coop. Rarely a little mischief if my summoner wants it.

I am SL 67, completed New Londo and have not started Demon ruins yet.

Look for webbot. I'm sure many will be (revenge). I fully realize you may be setting me up with a BP that has a dark hand when I get summoned. Its part of the game, but I trust you...

I'll start looking at 8pm mdt. I like helping people with 4 kings. I know most of the level. The ghosts are a pain still, and occasisonally a darkwraith messes me up when I don't pay attention. The 4 kings boss fight is tough. I've never done it by myself and have only been successful with it when two phantoms help. On ps3 I complete NG+ and it was really tough.

I assume you want the full level and not the shortcut when the water is released?

Is it possible for you to hop on perhaps a bit earlier? I have some Battlefield 3 obligations with my clan starting at 9PM EST (including a competitive match) so I can't make it at that time, but I'd otherwise be happy to help you out. I'm an SL76 player with all but four bosses handled (one of which is optional, and one of which is the final boss) and am able to drop a sigil literally in any zone of the game other than the Kiln and Crystal Cave specifically in order to help you out.

Let me know. Same name in game and on Steam.

I won't be setting up an ambush for you, but I'll be disappointed if you don't come prepared for it =]

I haven't done the level before so don't know the pros/cons of each route. As long as the long way has interesting sights and isn't tedious I'd prefer that way, though I'd like to open up and shortcuts in case I have to go through that way again.

Nope. Have family obligations until that time.

Shame. Well, I'll be available anytime before then if you have an opening or anything. Tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday I work, so I won't be available after that until Monday, as well. Kinda sucks, since I've beaten the game god knows how many times and could potentially be a big help.

Well, hopefully after this weekend I'll have completed the game already and you can help me with NG+ =]

No problem, I wasn't a boy scout, but I am always prepared. You never know in Dark Souls.

Long route only option, water needs to be lowered to get to shortcut, and you need to lower the water, so normal long route for New Londo.

If you summon me I expect a magic attack or combustion or fire orb in my face. Even though it doesn't hurt, it keeps me on my toes.

Sure, no problem. Will you be leveling up in prep for NG+ at all? I could dump a few more stats into my INT so I can use Crystal Magic Weapon if so.

Taking my End to 40, so I think that's another 9 SLs, not sure where I'm going after that. Probably boost my STR past 10 eventually though I don't see myself taking it too high.

I don't think we'll get out of level range soon.

Okay, great. I'm at a solid 15 or so INT right now so I would need to dump another ten levels in, but with the level ranges we're covered anyway. Perfect.

I'd be up for some jolly co-op. I'm SL 67 right now, just finished Duke's Archive and I'm looking to do New Londo Ruins next. It's always nice to have extra bodies for Four Kings . My Steam community page is linked in my forum profile, which includes my gamertag.

New Londo? I apparently am SL78, not 76 like I thought, so I think we still should be able to co-op with ease. Where would you like me to put my sigil?

I always love som jolly co-operation, though I'm on the Way of the White covenant. And I'm lvl 76. The bosses that I have left is Seath and Bed of Chaos and Gwyn of course.

Anybody that replied earlier, message Wulf2k either Steam or GFWL.

Edit: Looking for signs in New Londo ruins now, sorry to anybody that comes that I don't catch.

Edit 2: No luck looking for signs. Giving up, anybody that does want to run together just message me.

Didn't manage to get any arranged co-op last night, but ended up working my way to The Duke's Archives solo. First encounter with Seath didn't go so well, obviously, but then I grabbed the sign of Cruoton who stuck with me through to the end.

Got invaded by a Floopy who showed me the frustration of lagstabbing (Not complaining about him, just hadn't seen it in action before. Have to be more careful) who sent us back to the beginning, then got invaded by him a second time right before Seath and we chased / he jumped into a pit.

Then we took down Seath, mostly with arrows, and I called it a night.

All in all a good time, much better running with somebody than soloing. Anybody that feels like doing some co-op (Now mid-70s SL) this Saturday night, get in touch.

Wulf2k on GFWL and Steam.
