+Rep Mince. Absolutely correct. Denying participation and funds from Valve sure isn't going to encourage MORE L4D development, and I for one, want all the new L4D I can get.

I would like it sooner and more often.

But I WOULD like MORE. So please don't be a part of the haters that initially tried to get Left4Dead TWO from being made. Every other series that people love they WANT sequels. So why wouldn't WE? I wish this franchise would come back to life. There's still so much activity there.

I absolutely agree with uait on this. I seriously doubt Valve is actually stupid enough to think that this DLC not selling well would mean that no one had ever wanted it. It's just that they took way too long to do it. Look at how PC TF2 is. Constant, constant updating to keep people interested. If they think console players don't need the same thing to stay interested, then I suppose this will show them otherwise.

This game's community is essentially dead. This DLC isn't going to bring them back. I know I'm not buying 3 and a half maps I've already played years ago and 1 community made map I don't want, for a game with barely anyone playing.

So I'm with Seaker on just getting the new BF3 stuff instead.

What was said about being hypocritical is completely right. I 100% agree with Xyst and Mince. People complain about not getting it, then refuse it when it is released. You know what you people are? Whiny babies who like nothing more than to complain. It's people like you who make our community look disgusting. When people complain the Xbox community sucks, it's because of you. Hope you feel good about that.

Well SVPR, you should include me in the "whiny babies" category because I too complain about VALVe a lot . I agree that they have provided horrible support for us Xbox 360 gamers. They have failed to communicate efficiently with the Xbox 360 playerbase, due to their far apart Twitter and blog posts with very little helpful information. Let's also not forget the struggle we've been through to finally get across to the PC gamers and get them to stop saying stuff like "OH, THE XBOX FORUM IS THAT WAY".

But guys, let's not have a schism amongst the Xbox forumers. I think everybody agrees that the L4D dev team has treated us worse than how developed countries' governments treat their prisoners. But I definitely will not pass up the opportunity to buy the DLC when it comes out. I've waited so long for it, and while I agree that a lot of people aren't going to come back, I for one am still around. And I plan to be playing it when it comes out. And I will ask all my friends to buy it and play it with me.

Maybe I'm just getting my hopes up because they are supposed to give us a release date tonight... oh well, if nothing happens then I will edit this post with more angry words about VALVe.

I meant more for the people who try to organize boycotts, or hate mail. I agree Valve have a lot to do in the costumer service department and I too have complained about them in the past, and a lot.

I don't think anyone here tried to do that. All I was saying is that I personally am not getting this. The only way to show Valve what I think of their practices is to vote with my wallet.

You're gonna miss out then... heck, I might even try to organize a SPUF game thread for us to play the L4D1 maps on one of the versus modes.

Seriously though, they took forever, but at least they finally came back and released the DLC. I don't see where you are coming from with this "voting with my wallet approach". What is your GT anyway? (I know, unrelated question )

I feel like if I buy the DLC, I'm just sending a message to Valve that they shouldn't care about console release dates because console gamers will just buy it anyway, no matter how long it takes. And besides, most of the people I used to play this with moved on a long time ago.

And I'm LazySushi by the way. If a lot of people I know suddenly come back to this game, I'd definitely consider getting the DLC. If I do, I'd totally be up for some games with the people here. I used to play the SPUF forum games occasionally when Seaker used to run them after all.

I wish I had been on the forum back when the veterans were active, back when there were forum games, etc. Now it's pretty much a few oldies (as in more than a year or two ) and us forum noobs who joined for Cold Stream. Maybe there could be enough interest for a revived forum game thing though. I don't think any of us can necessarily say we are "bad" at the game itself. A lot of us are the grumpy old L4D2 players who needed a place to go. Well, at least I am one.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen you in a game before. I would like to add you at some point though, perhaps if you buy the DLC or just play a game with the forumers, with your permissions of course...

Plus on a semi-related note, adding to the first paragraph, perhaps we can get a few of the earlier members to come back and post around a bit. I could try to refer some of my friends to here. See if we can get some more constructive topics going instead of whining. Which, I will admit, I have been doing almost exclusively for the past year.

I'll be making my triumphant (I use the word triumphant loosely as it's been awhile) return and would love some company to survive with. I would hate to waste my first few run throughs in pubs.

My gt is the same as my forum tag, wareham gangsta. Add me and feel free to invite me any time you see me online, on L4D or not.

Perhaps we should start a thread to organize some games for the upcoming DLC.
