If you followed the Nicalis updates on getting it onto Wiiware and then how they dealt with the bugs that it had (it took them a year to patch it), it's really no surprise that they never followed through with that.

Also the Wiiware version is really good because the widescreen mode is just a cropped a stretched version of the game.

When im told there will be content updates as a bullet point on the purchase list , i expect atleast one content update , not following through is like lying to the customer , dont tell people things you cant deliver on.

im still going to pick this game up on the sale though.

The steam version still has bugged achievements, and the nemesis challenge clock

There is an update in works as far as remember. Some of the Cave Story tribute site got codes for the beta of the update to test it.

They did give Windows version the soundtrack from Cave Story 3D, didn't they? Don't know if that qualifies as "future content update" since it doesn't add that much to the game. Although I must admit I am a bit confused about this whole soundtrack thing and am not completely sure if I even know what I'm talking about. I got Cave Story+ from Humble Bundle last year and I have two versions of the soundtrack. However I've understood that the one included is not the 3D version beacuse I've heard some different version on YouTube. So I assume the Windows version has three soundtracks to choose from, am I correct?

But reading through other threads here it seems the devs have been and are still working on the game so I wouldn't lose heart just yet although it's been a long wait. I love this game and would like to at least see Mac version receive same patches the Windows version got last year. Wouldn't mind additional content either, although the current challenges will probably be enough to keep me occupied for a while.

I'm curious about the tribute site getting beta codes as well.
