Will Alan Wake Retail activate on Steam?

The physical editions of this game can be registered through Steam?

I hate to come back again and give more advice (I probably should have mentioned this before), but it might be worth changing your topic title to something more to the point, for example "Will Alan Wake Retail activate on Steam?".

You should be able to change your topic title by clicking "EDIT" next to your post followed by "Go Advanced".

Sorry for replying to you again without having an answer other than Green Man Gaming activating on Steam.

You USED to be able to do that here. I guess that option was recently removed, then :/

EDIT: Just checked an old thread that I started and it's letting me edit that title. I assume by "topics here" you meant the Alan Wake board rather than Steam Forums in general?

I was able to edit my Alan Wake thread (to add the word SPOILER in it).

Interesting, the restriction must be sub-forum based. Can't for example do any edits in Counter-Strike Source section topics.

**EDIT** and it seems to require "advanced editing" in order to do that.

It does, yes. Which is why I said OP needs to "Go Advanced".

Does anyone have any idea if it'll be Steamworks for Retail?

Yes, the retail copies will also use Steamworks. That way everyone will get updates to the build automatically. This goes for other online-stores as well.

From Remedy Entertainment have confirmed to me through an email that you need to install Steam, even with disk versions.
