I am Randomly Exploding
As the thread title says, in the last several songs I have played, I have been randomly dying, not near an edge, other ships, or any projectiles, just randomly exploding.
Fix please? |

Record a video of it happening or everyone will just assume you're simply not catching sight of what killed you.
Heck, I have 160+ hours clocked in Beat Hazard, and STILL sometimes I catch myself screaming at the screen "What just killed me?!!" |

Yeah, just record it and upload it. Maybe one of us can see what is killing you...

So no one else is having this problem, and there's been no updates or anything that could possibly be causing it?
I aware that I could just be missing something, I made the thread to see if it's something other people are running into as well, or if it's just me and/or my system. |

You're probably just experiencing sensory overload; something that is common with games like this with high intensity visual feedback. Your brain will actually delete things from your vision so you don't see them, just because you can't process what's going on. It's not really the game's fault and it's not your fault either, but the more you play, the more you will overcome it.
I use FRAPS for recording videos, but there are lots of free options including Livestream Procaster or CamStudio. |

So if it's not lag or something, than it's probably my brain causing the problem and I just have to play more? |

As far as free recording programs go msi afterburner is excellent. I own a license for fraps but I find msi afterburner to be a better capture software.
Don't worry about missing what's killing you in game, it happens to all of us from time to time, I have close to 800 hours logged and still die without noticing what hit me sometimes. Last edited by stukatie: 05-05-2012 at 07:18 PM. |

:/
I guess. Still stinks though, I was so close to beating a Wyrd song I've probably attempted 30 times by now. >.< Unrelated note: Wyrd is pretty good for practicing longer songs and prolonged quiet parts. And if you're really, really good, which I'm guessing stukatie, Jupiter, and Crtl are, their first album consists of a single 50 minute song. |
