Now I don't wear suspenders and am not a fancy big-city lawyer by any means. All I know is that I worship my false peepers and cannot deny the similarities that I see. I don't care where the line is between blatant plagiarism and original work. To me, it looks too similar, and that's enough to prevent me from supporting this game.

Now I might point out that I have over the years supported with my wallet many forms of plagiarism. All the games and operating systems mentioned in this thread I have enjoyed. And I will continue to enjoy many a future title. But that does not mean that I cannot refuse to buy this title. For some reason, the alleged plagiarism in this game just hits a certain chord in me that makes me uncomfortable. Maybe a couple of years from now, this sort of "plagiarism" will be acceptable practice, but for me right now it's quite discordant. If anything, this sort of plagiarism just feels shoddy and cheap. There's a certain way to handle these kinds of situations with class. And class, is what I'm not seeing here.

Now if the developer's do want my money, then it's up to them to convince me to part with it. But seeing that this thread is over a year old, they either did steal the work and have no intention of making that fact public, they did create the work originally but do not care to defend themselves or want my money, or they simply do not view these forums. In any of the 3 cases, they are foolish irregardless.

Damn! Lol, thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to remove that imaginary word from my vernacular.

^^ it's not a real word because it's basically gibberish. just because some idiot decided at some point that it should go in the dictionary does not make it a 'real' word.... and by that I mean a proper word. arbitrarily deciding that a word should be put in a dictionary, despite the fact that it is a great example of completely improper & illogical usage, and pretty much tantamount to nonsense, does not make it a 'real' word. it makes it a word that should not exist, and only does so because of years of usage by defiant people who probably first started doing so as a means to make "regardless" sound more emphatic.

case in point:

take the word 'relevant'. now prefix it with 'irr'. then you have 'irrelevant', which is the opposite of 'relevant'.

take the word 'hopeful'. now suffix it with 'less' instead. then you have 'hopeless', which again is the opposite of 'hopeful'.

as you can see by deduction then, 'irregardless' is a double-negative and makes no logical sense whatsoever. it is essentially equivalent to 'regard' or 'regardful', which actually is a real word and the opposite of irregardless's intended usage
