Need help recovering profile!
Does anyone know how to link your profile back on windows?
I'm getting this error "c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desk top refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network." My profile and everything else in on my E drive, does anyone know how to link it back? |

so if it is wanting the files for profile on c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop and you said it was on E: then just move the files from E to where it wants it. or make a new profile and move the files you want over..

I can't do that, theres no system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop on the E drive. Also the folder for Desktop is not there on the C drive.
I also tried making a profile but it didnt work, didnt make a profile on either C or E drive. |

Did you try to recreate the folder in the C Drive?. Don't worry if its empty other than a hidden "desktop.ini" file. Also check here if 64-bit: "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\Desk top"
