These are net settings. Entire guides have been written to tweaking them, but the general rule is: "If it isn't broke, don't fix it." They look identical to what chris' highframes config calls "Good Connection", so it should be alright.
Fps_max is an FPS cap you can set to keep your maximum FPS at a stable amount. 0 makes it uncapped. Again, if your game runs just fine without it, you don't need to care about it. |

Not sure. This kind of issue sounds more like an FPS issue to me, actually. Can you enable net_graph 1 (shows your fps, ping, and a couple of other connection related things) and report how it behaves when the lag happens?
Also, can you post your specs? |
