[Bug] Steam app won't stay closed (Android)

Ever since this last update, the Android Steam app just doesn't want to stay closed. Every time I try and exit it, the PC Steam client still lists me as "Online, Mobile" then my phone just relaunches it.

I tried exiting it normally, force closing it by holding back, force closing it through the applications menu, and even rebooting it. Steam just won't stay off and keeps reconnecting after a few seconds. I mean I love steam and all, but there are infact times I would like to exit it.

Using an LG Optimus V with Cyanogen Mod 7.2

Same here. If it's on and I turn on my PC, then exit on ym phone, I still get the messages even though the app is not running according to my phone.

Agreed - happening for me too
However not as many posts as I would have thought - maybe it's something common with our phones...
Mine's a Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 mini pro.
Might also help Steam if you list your phone model anyway, and any other info I guess

Andriod v2.3.5.

Mine is Sony Ericsson X10i with Cyanogen Mod 7.2

Mine relaunches when a friend chats to me

So I exit Steam Mobile and chat on normal steam, as soon as my friend chats to me Steam Mobile launches and informs me that I got a chat message

Update: if you hadn't worked it out already, you can drop offline on Steam Mobile by signing out...not ideal as it seems (for me anyway) that you have to enter the Steam Guard code every time you log back in...but hopefully they can fix it up soon.

To sign out - go into Settings and the sign out button is on the top right.

And, Steam Mobile team - thanks for your efforts so far, the mobile app is a great idea, keep up the excellent work!

Doesn't solve the problem, it still relaunches every time you get a message.

I just started having this problem a few days ago on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I use the Steam plugin for Pidgin, which counts as "Mobile" rather than "Online", and I'm hoping really hard that it isn't the reason for this issue. It would suck to have to choose between Steam on my Pidgin and Steam on my phone.
