UT99 (Game of the Year edition) problems

Hey, just bought it off Steam for £6 and I managed to get it to run at first however the screen was black and I had to ctrl alt delete out of the game then close it via task manager. If anyone knows a fix for that it would be cool.

However there is a new problem where I try to launch it and it says:

'This game is currently unavailable (Application running).'

So... I tried redownloading the game & reinstalling, also restarted PC numerous times, compatibility mode & run as administrator did nothing.

Any suggestions/solutions?

Remove UnrealTournament.ini.

It should bring up a menu like play and stuff. Pick the menu where you would pick graphics. Click Show All Devices, and either select OpenGL or D3D depending on what you picked on startup.

ALso, There are costum drivers for this game which you will find here. http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/

These generally solve anything of the problems.

Thanks for your response, but I don't have a file called UnrealTournament.ini in the folder, unless you mean UnrealTournament.int?

It should be in your System folder of Unreal TOurnament right next to the exe. What are your specs?

Heh I would recommend not that renderer but instead try say D3D10 if you have Win 7. http://kentie.net/article/d3d10drv/
