Fraps says 60 fps constant.. I see only 30 - Page 2

I can understand people looking at comments like wtf not 60 FPS?
Play the game it plays fine......

Play game's like Grid and Burnout, Doe's 2 games run at 60 FPS and the sense of speed is great. This games go on sale for as low as 5 dollars and you can get them both on a sale for same price as SkyDrift. I got spoil on both of this titles and you'r going to blame me for wanting a racing game whit sense of speed?

Even Transformers: War for Cybertron got PC gamers upset that it was lock at 30, But trainer was release to unlock the game and my god it looks great running at 60 FPS.

Before people start to bash us PC gamer's for wanting quality, do you'r self a favor and pick up a copy of Burnout Paradise.

I just can't understand why The Giant Arrow's in the game are the only thing running at 60 FPS. Makes no sense to me and Please some one release Frame unlocker for this game.

I don't believe a framerate unlocker is possible due to the manner in which the game is limited.

Most games with framerate caps it's just a renderer-side limitation and has nothing to do with the game's gameplay processing - so once you remove or adjust the cap, which is typically just a variable in memory, the game still runs normally. In Skydrift, the limitation doesn't seem to be on the renderer-side of things since the game is rendering at 60fps. It's the gameplay processing engine that's locked to 30Hz and changing that would likely require actual changes to the game code and would not be possible through a simple memory edit - which is the means by which other famerate unlockers work.

I for one did not purchase the game because of the cap and because of my guess that it could not be defeated.

Using 120hz option on a TV that supports it is basically the only way to go for games like this. If your set has good interpolation it looks almost as good as 60fps with a little input lag but imo well worth it. I would never go back to 30fps without it.

Sure a lot of games look really bad with it on but this one actually benefits imo.
