If you plan on upgrading the CPU I would suggest that you get an i5 now instead, it will be cheaper in the long run. No need to update RAM 8GB is plenty.

A better graphics card can still require only 1 pin. They do get more energy efficient. If they didn't, we'd be talking about 2000W PSUs now.
