Canals

– fixed pixelwalk in shoe shop
– fixed errant clip brush on balcony
– made it more difficult to climb the wood sign to B from boost
– trimmed top corners of courtyard building facing the stairs
– fixed nav file where lamp posts were removed
– adjusted balcony arch prop to fix gaps
Militia
– Moved up CT spawns and hostage rescue zone
– Blocked off river and area around old CT spawn
– Shortened underground tunnel, now exits into garage
– New hostage spawn positions, removed position from small house in yard, hostages will always spawn one on upper floor and one on lower floor of main house/garage
– Opened up house near silos, can now use door to enter/exit instead of window only
– Added some cover near tunnel exit in yard
– Moved terrorist spawn area to balcony at back of house
– Added cover in long-range areas
– Fixed several boosts/exploits
– Smoothed out movement in general
Rumor has it:

- You can view them by inspecting items, and then hovering over the icon in the lower right corner
- This is a solution meant to replace API functions that you may remember being discontinued last week due to excessive load that couldn't be solved anytime soon

- Despite the larger than usual size, GameTracking is surprisingly light: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/Gam...53f07b3d298eea

- Most of the large size is from more shader updates (in \platform\shaders\fxc\), lightmappedgeneric_ps30.vcs on its own accounts for most of the size, clocking in at ~240 MB

- Size is ~310 MB

I played militia and italy cause i knew they'd never get updated. Why are the getting updated?!!

Damn, the removed my favorite tree in Militia! And as CT, you can't no longer breach the windows for easy rescues if the hostage is upstairs(used to ninja rescue this way a lot before) without boosting.

I don't mind reducing the rescue zone to one since there are a few number of spots where you can guard both in the old militia, though only a few people know about this.

Completely ruined one of the few maps I actually enjoyed for its tactical possibilities. "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it" - why did they n00bify Milita?!? It almost feels like "Shortdust" or "Shorttrain" from Demolition now.

One map less in my mappool...

The hostage rescue zone needs more than one entrance.

Agreed. The CZ version was honestly the best.

Agreed, CZ maps are the best for me because I had a lot of fun and good times with them on my buddy's server in my school days. Although I do kinda miss 1.6's jacuzzi (that doesn't do much).

It is still possible, if a hostage spawns near front balcony. You are able to jump into upper level without boosting. You can jump in following order: bench, front balcony, wall, roof

But this is the next update following the negev one, which confirms my suspicion that valve doesn't know about their own game. Nobody and really nobody is playing a hostage map. But militia is the less played map on pool.
They should realease some more usefull updates.

The negev ... i beg you ... CS:GO doesn't need suppression fire like battlefield metro style.

if they change a map like militia you would have to think it's a rework for a better tactical balance and/or visuals etc.. but you're indicating it's not??
