Any way around the display stretching?
On a 1680x1050 display, the flaws in the stills become overly apparent. I've had no luck finding a way around this on my own and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions (apart from "play realMyst instead", of course).
edit: The closest thing I can find is this - https://gist.github.com/801718 but not knowing much (actually nothing) about applying hex edits I have no idea how to implement it or if it would even work with the Steam version. Last edited by Jalan: 02-18-2011 at 07:58 PM. |

Most widescreen monitors have a built-in option to simulate a 4:3 aspect ratio. I'd recommend you check your monitor's settings and see if it has "4:3 in wide" option.

Late response, but I'm pretty certain I went in through NVIDIA control panel and set a similar option (or a scaling option, anyway).
Been a while since this time last year and I haven't played the game recently. |
