Weapons should reward playing well and doing what you should be doing, within reason.
Weapons shouldn't reward doing ♥♥♥♥-all or irrelevant things. There should be a at least a level of expectation when playing, you should be able to rely on the fact their roaming soldier will have a rocket launcher, scouts will have scattergun, snipers have a sniper rifle. It allows people to reliable make moves/pushes based on the idea that they can't suddenly get market gardener'd or caber'd from nowhere. This positively reinforces competitive gameplay. Most weapon unlocks generally revolve around that, with difference between country/league ban lists |
