Unhappy Train Simulator 2012 Add-On Problems

Hi,
I'm new to Train Simulator 2012. I like this game a lot so I began adding add-ons to the game.Specifically for the "Northeast Corridor". When the train loads, the image that controls the train's movement(example, move front and back) seem to be missing.Overall, the train just can't move. Please, can anyone help me? Thanks a lot

Hi,

You mean the overlay with the lever ?

It's easy, F4 key should bring that up.

By the way, a lot of other keys are interesting. Some peoples prefer to remove the overlay and control the train with the lever (that you can find by looking around with your mouse, hold right-click and move while in the cab view. Use the left mouse to move the lever.

Also, you can use A and D for engine and ;/' (around that) for brakes, but I don't know for forward/reverse switch, to move around without the overlay.

Try F2 and F3 when F4 is hidden, you will see other ways to drive that are fun when you are more used to the control.

Hope I understood correctly.

That's not the problem. The problem is the control panel(when I press f4) doesn't show the leverto(reverse, front and back button), but it does show the horn, light, windshield etc.Plus, when i want to change the environment, I said save changes, but at the end, it still doesn't let me change anything. Can you help ?

I've never seen this, but it might be linked to some of the very advance loco around that can't be controlled the easy way.

Is it doing that just for one loco or for all your loco.

Maybe try in option in the game main menu to change your setting of "Simple Controls" in the gameplay section. I know this might change the "presentation" of the control sometimes.

Even then, you should'nt be left with no lever at all.

It might be a game file that has been affected by something you downloaded. Maybe try a cache reset. If in your steam client, Library tab, you right click on the game, select properties, then Local Files tab and you select "Verify integrity of game cache"...

That might help. I heard about a blueprint thing that I never used from the launcher I think. But if you did'nt download a LOT of dlc, that should'nt be needed.
