I don't think I see any description about the various classes in the game.
What are the differences? Usually I play as the archer type characters in the old Diablo games and in Torchlight. Should I continue with this tradition? |

Berserker specializes in claw type weapons and one-handed melee weapons, and uses various close range abilities that range from bleeds to dashing straight through enemies to regen part of his health. 'Serker is more the quick and clean melee DPS.
Outlander is very much like the Vanquisher from Torchlight 1, in that they use pistols, shotguns, crossbows, and bows to great effect and use many abilities that take advantage of range and area of effect (I assume you're going to like this one). Engineer is more the Minion Master/Support/Tank/Juggernaut, with high starting strength and vitality, low focus and dexterity. Can learn to build robot minions such as the Healer bot or the Sledge bot, specializes in two-handed melee weapons (Great-axe, Greatsword, Polearm, and great-hammer) and Cannons, and uses many abilities to maximize the heavy hits and survivability you'd expect of someone clad in steam-powered fullplate. The Ember Mage I haven't tried yet, but a friend has said it's typical mage, various spells and elements, massive area of effect destruction, and uses staves and scepters to great effect. I personally am loving the engie and zerker, but I say try them all at least once =3 |

I really like Engi Cannoneer - it honestly feels like a tanky Vanquisher build spamming Cannon Blast with lots of survivability.
Engi has a lot of versatility too, you can play 2H, sword & board, Cannoneer. A lot of fun options depending on your playstyle. Last edited by rexob85: 09-21-2012 at 12:46 PM. |
