Yesterday i installed W7, and then i installed CSS.

When i enter CSS the picture is in the middle, and around its black. ive have tryed to change the resolution, and Aspect Ratio, i have also tryed to change my Monitor settings. Yet nothing worked. In every other games, the picture is full

Change the screen resolution to wide screen. As you probably have a wide screen monitor lcd and you are seeing the border.

Then you should see 16:9 or 16:10 and choose which one is for you monitor then your default resolution and save it.

Unless you are talking about the border around the window mode when you alt+tab perhaps.

If this is what you mean use this command at the end of the target line.
-noborder

Seeing as you've played with the aspect ratio and have set it to whatever your monitor is (if you're not 100% sure you've done so correctly - stick with that), I'd say your monitor or graphics driver is under the option to not scale images beyond what they actually are. For instance, let's say your monitor is 1920x1080 and your game is at 1280x720, such an option would make it so that you see a rectangle laid out on your screen rather than the whole screen being filled.

This question is important: Is your image (the non-black part) a rectangle or a square?

If it's a square, play_maker's suggestion is most likely correct and you just haven't set your aspect ratio correctly, either in-game, through the monitor, or possibly a driver-forced option.

If a rectangle - you're using a res in-game lower than the native res, and your driver is set not to expand beyond the res given to it, OR your monitor is set to preserve the actual image rather than to expand.

Weird my windows 7 boots and has the same or better fps in games then vista did. Plus the fact it eating all my ram on idle is now gone in windows 7.

Though i'm still plagued by the massive choke in cs source with bots in a lan game. That is the only issue i have and it is only with cs source.

Win7 is perfect for me yeah i get these black bars but windows just preserves aspect ratios somehow so you dont get the horrible pixilated stretching if you run at native and set proper aspet ratio its perfect
