Css does have a low requirement but on my old desktop 2.6 ghtz with 2 gig ram it was still sluggish.

i personaly have not encounterd this problem befor but because laptops are supposibly slower than desktops i dont think it would work on that specs.

Not sure if your laptop is running full power. Check it in power management. As if it is set for laptop it will use half the power if on battery. You can set it to maximum power to run full speed with power cord plugged in or battery then.

What kind of graphics are you running? You can use this to pick a different direct-x and force it and check the fps and see which works best for you.

open console and type in cl_showfps 1 to check the fps. Or net_graph 1,2 or 3 will work also.

You can go into config in the game and click the advanced tab and enable developers console. Or add the command to the end of the games exe to launch.

Hit the tilda/carrot key, one left on the number 1 key. Will give you a drop down box where you can get information and type in command lines.

Try this at the end of the command line -autoconfig and save it and launch the game.

ZOMG! I got it to launch! AND connect to a match.

there is still quite a bit of slowdown, but its an improvement! all i had to do was force DirectX 7

What other ways can i make the game run faster? I have 4 times the RAM needed to run it, so we should be able to get it working. I already lowered all the resolution settings in-game to lowest.
