Why Steam STILL doesn't have feature?

The title should be "Why Steam STILL doesn't have this feature?"

By that I mean an option to automatically shut down when all downloads are done. Why not? I just don't want to sit in front of the computer or I'd I out to do something (like sleeping) else when Steam is downloading or updating games so I don't need to shut it down manually after it finished downloading. You know idling it all day long isn't good to the hardware as well as your electricity bill.

shutdown -s -t xx

Check how much time Steam says it would need to finish downloading, add a few minutes, use the shutdown command via cmd and go to bed.

maybe the reason is: you wake up in the morning and notice your computer is still running. You check steam and see download suspended.

Terrible idea. You don't want to be installing anything on your computer and have it just shut off. To have a shut down timer and an installation happening on two separate timers just sounds like you're asking for trouble to me.

If people want this it should be through Steam, to avoid problems.

What? After you download a game in X amount of minutes, you have a timer run for X amount of minutes longer than the download(just in case your bandwidth gets finicky) and it will shut down fine.

If it shutdowns before the download finishes then when you log back into Steam the next day, Steam will download the rest or it will be in a suspended mode.

Nothing else happens...and when you're downloading doesn't mean you're installing the game...you install it when you launch it for the first time
