Have you tried changing compatibility settings? That usually fixes those kind of issues.

Right click the game exe. If you're using Steam then I mean the real exe in the game folder or else just use shortcut on desktop if retail version from a store. Then click on compatibility tab.
Select run in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2 or Vista. If that doesn't help try selecting run as administrator. There is one more option tho. You can also add the two game exe files to Windows DEP (Data Execution Prevention) list. 1. go to control panel 2. click on system (might need to change to "view by small icons" first) 3. click on "advanced system settings" 4. under "performance" click "settings" 5. click "data execution prevention" 6. click "add" and find the single player and multiplayer exe files to select to add to the list This fixes issues when a game crashes for no apparant reason on newer versions of Windows. Only try this if the compatibility settings don't help. It runs great on my Win 7 x64 using Vista compatibility & I have my exe files on the DEP list. If this doesn't fix it then you have a bigger problem. You might need to reinstall game or change graphic card driver. It's probably just a compatibility issue tho.
