L4D2 4-Pack if I already have L4D2 ?

Hi,

If I have already purchased L4D2, can I purchase a 4-pack and gift all four games away?
Or will one still be bound to me and lost, and I could only gift 3?

Would most like to hear from someone who's actually tried this, know someone who has, or someone who works for Steam/Valve and would really know.

Don't want to lose money/waste a game

Nope, you need to not own L4D2 to buy it.

You can ask support for a refund stating that you are planning to buy the 4-pack instead of the individual game.

Well I bought one 4-pack already and gifted the 3 to my friends.
So I'm left with the one, and hoping to do it again so another 4 of my friends can get the game through me.
