Question Steam Repair Function.

A one click button that renames the clientregistry.blob, removes the registry entries and restarts steam, would likely stop 95% of traffic in the help forum.

Sounds like something a 3rd party app could do, someone needs to make this so we can just hand it out to people with issues.

Did it in VBScript. Just double-click the script to delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam, and rename ClientRegistry.blob and AppUpdateStats.blob

Sorted, somehow steam.exe run capability settings under All Users was set to run in Windows XP SP2 mode when I'm running Vista, screwed everything up...
