Cannot connect to server

hey, i have this weird issue. whenever i try to play DoDs or even TF2 only a few servers will show up and when i try to join any only about 1/20 will actually work, all the others will say "server not responding". whenever i am at a friends house i can connect just fine. i have looked at ports, settings on my firewall and such, but no luck. any ideas?

I've posted about this before with little response. I did have some success with deleting the server list a while back, but still get days where my 'history' tab is empty for whatever reason & it comes back to life if I re-start the game.

Try deleting these two files:
