Steam Client Freezes when Links are clicked.

I'll put it short and simple:

Whenever I click a link in Steam Friends Chat Steam freezes completely and I have to shut Steam down over Task Manager.
Anyone else gets this?
I have Windows XP btw

I have had this in the past, although I do not know a fix. My workaround was to copy them and paste them into the browser by hand. Not the response you're looking for, but hopefully you find this helpful until someone gives us both a tip (in case it happens to me again, eh? :P)

I have a similar problem, only mine are the links within Steam itself. I click on anything within the homepage that the Steam program brings up and it locks up instantly. Its a nuisance.
