Bioware Support Chatlog on downloadable content.

I kept trying to register on the "BioWare Social Network" ie the place where the game forces you to create and account to get you to enter the downloadable content codes.

I eventually got it to work (doing nothing different from the numerous times it failed). But every time I entered the codes I got an error message.

Here's my chatlog from the above support chat.

Temjem O.: Hi, my name is Temjem O.. How may I help you?
: Hi. My name's Chris.
Temjem O.: Hi Chris
: Hi Temjem. I've having an issue activating my deluxe content for the game.
Temjem O.: Do you get any error message?
: Yes. I purchased the Deluxe Downloadable version from Steam. When I enter the codes to activate the pre-order bonus items and the normal deluxe downloadable content it says they are invalid.
Temjem O.: Please provide me the code.
: I have 3 codes. They are:
: 83HK-(redacted)
: 9RHQ-(redacted)
: 276E(redacted)
: All three give an error.
: No downloadable content appears in the game.
: And the option to buy the deluxe items still appears in the menu
(several minutes pass)
: Still there?
Temjem O.: Yes, I am, please give me a moment.
: Ok. Take your time.
(several more minutes pass)
Temjem O.: When you purchase content, you'll have to restart the game in order to activate your download.

To utilize any content you've purchased, do the following:

Restart the game after buying your content/items. Doing so will refresh your account status, making new items you've purchased/aquired available for download.
Ensure that you're logged in with the same account that you used to purchase content on the DAO website. Login options are located at the bottom left-hand corner of the game window.
Check the Download Progress tab in the Downloadable Content section of the game menu. You can download any recently purchased items here.
Doing so should activate any content you've purchased. Check out this answer http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg...?p_faqid=23583 if you have any questions about how to download your content.
: Yes. I read the FAQ. I created an account. I used the same account details in the game. However it did not work. I keep getting the error "invalid code".
: I just tried again. The exact error message is "Unable to redeem code."
: This is within the BioWare Social Network the game gets you to create an account on.
Temjem O.: Okay, just got an information that there is a temp issue going on with the site please try after 4 or 5 hours.
: So the issue is specifically about the "unable to redeem code" issue?
Temjem O.: Yes.
: Ok Temjem. I'll give it a couple of hours and try again. Is there some type of reference code you can give me?
Temjem O.: Is there anything else I can help you with?
: Yes. I was wondering if they is some kind of ticket # or reference # you could give me so that I can refer to it later if the issue continues.
Temjem O.: Once our chat ends you will get a reference number.
: OK. Thanks for your help Temjem.
You have disconnected.
I received a chatlog via email a few minutes later.

So in other words, I should enjoy the game and revisit this tomorrow when the site might actually work and grab the DLC hopefully by then.

Good enough.

I know people like to bash EA but I've never had a problem on one of their sites like what this has been and upfront I would have expected better from Bioware as well.

It's a real mess.

Or just try a couple times. In my case even though it said the codes were invalid I still was able to get access to all the DLC.

The only issue with that is downloadable content you're meant to start with. I don't know if you'll miss out on it or not.

What if you're meant to get an item in the starting area, but you've already left?

From memory, on the account creation site I clicked on "help" -> "email" and the live chat option was on that page
