I don't like where this game is heading...

With all these hats, medals, halos and crap. It's so stupid. Why the hell did Valve introduce hats anyway? It has done no good. They should all be removed and Valve should focus on gameplay changes, not some silly cosmetics.

Becease it does nothing to the gameplay and is just a nice little addition people just complain too much about it, there are now rare hats and common hats which is nice, I don't understand why people complain so much about something that does nothing they also fix the gameplay issues aswell and they have made other things such as the quick weapon switch which i find very handy.

Hats are fine; community is too whiny.

Certain hats are ok tbh,but the road it`s going down there`s going to be a hat for every occasion.
I mean it was ok with the orig hats,now we got lfd2 hats,halloween hats.(the bag ones are pretty good tbh)
Not that i`m too bothered about them,but they could have put better time in tf2 doing better stuff like balance and bug fixes ect.

Precisely. If anything, the cosmetic items have caused more grief [for Valve] than they initially predicted.

Ugh, ignore it? Let people enjoy the hats. Just don't come to the forum and read all these hat threads if you don't want to deal with them.

Because am I the only damn one here NOT seeing hats affecting ANYTHING in-game?

I might be mistaken, but I thought TF2's gameplay and graphics were the hallmark of its success... Rather than silly cosmetic items.

I don't see hats affecting gameplay whatsoever and thus I see no problem with them. I don't judge it based on what I see on Steam forums because it's a mere minority that actually care in-game (or maybe I'm just lucky) compared to here.

They do affect gameplay in one way.

No hat = possible spy
Hat = not a spy
