Pricing To High?

Seriously has anyone gone on Amazon or to a local retailer and seen how much it costs there, I know Steam don't set the prices but this isn't going to help win new users paying between 5-20 times as much for such an old game.

Just saying

+1, I'd love to buy this game but the prices are ridiculous high compared to retailers.
It's still amazing, that people play MAN 2 after all these years.
It'd be awesome to be able MAN 2 as Steam Game but seems, it's not going to happen. Unless Steam will announce Week End Deal Off/Weekly Deal Off/Mid Week Madness Deal off with discount.

Damn..Week End Deal of current week is Mass Effect. Lol, I just noticed, that such epic game of 2008 as Mass Effect was 15€ before deal off. O_o??? But the low-known awesome multiplayer strategy of 2006 - MAN 2 is 28,99€? Oh..come on...

I think I'll wait for the holiday sale before buying the games.

Also, I should remind, that MAN 2 directly from developers site's cost 40$ which is much cheaper then 28,99€

40 $ is much cheaper than 28,99 Euro?? I would say it's nearly the same. What country are you from?

I'm ready to pay these 40 $ for such a great game I'm still addicted to. 40 dollars is nothing considering that you get an unlimited access to multiplayer that used to cost 7$ per month. 40$ for 6 months or 40$ for life? I think the difference is obvious.

Hooray, they finally reached Steam - what a nice idea to do. I've been playing MAN2 for about two years and haven't regreted paying 40 $ for the game. The devs do support it - there are regular tourneys organizied and new enhancements added. Not so many new good turn-based strategies are released these days, so MAN2 is a really good "investment"
PS MAN2 community is really friendly and helpful to newbies.

yes the price is too high and have they removed the malignant StarForce protection that infected MAN2? (The only reason i didn't buy it originally)

...mmm afaik there's no starforce (at least there weren't any ahen i bought the game); it was like pay money - receive activation key - have fun... Anyway guess there's no starforce now as the game is distributed via steam.

Prices are way to high on this one. It's like it was put together back in early 2002. The voice work is absolutely terrible.

The original was released in 2003, and I have to agree that 25 euro for a 6 year old game is excessive. Noteably, the graphics isn't the strength of the game or its reviews, so dating shouldn't matter THAT much.

Still, Steam ought to post original release date in addition to 'steam release', IMO, because the metacritic score is usually based on it being a new game.

Sorry mate but that's a terrible argument. Just because it used to cost an arbitrary amount to play each month does not mean that 6 years later it holds value because of it.

I'm interested in playing but the price is totally ridiculous.
