The AMD is better for games, but they are both ♥♥♥♥ tbh.

Yeah, I agree that they are both garbage but my friend's mom is getting him laptop and their budget is only 300-400 dollars. I told him to tell his mom to save a little more but I guess they can't for strange reasons.

The AMD is "better", but I'd probably try refurb deals from someone like Newegg or TigerDirect. Sometimes Tiger will do a special sale on a $450 ish laptop that usually has pretty good specs (one a while back had a blu-ray drive). If you're a cheapskate like me, I'd sign up for newsletters from Newegg/TigerDirect/Buy.com and see what comes your way for a few weeks. Or, build a much better desktop for a little more if you want to game.
If you check the specs, the AMD is only a 1.6G processor. You're probably going to have a really crappy time trying to play TF2 on that. I tried putting it on my Mom's dual-core AMD laptop (don't remember the clock speed, but probably around 1.6 or 1.8) and couldn't get above like 15 fps unless I was in a corridor. Unplayable. |

Acer , don't ever buy a computer with a Intel GPU
