Valve.. For the love of AI DIRECTOR, REMOVE AUTO SPAWN FOR FINALES

Congratulations everyone who posted to keep this thread alive! Valve has listened to our request and has made a blog post confirming that they are either removing auto spawning altogether, or coming up with a fix for it. You can read that blog post here: They Live So again, congratulations! We made an effort to get Valve's attention, and we got it! And many thanks to Valve to listening to us! Original Post: PLEASE!!!! I'm begging at this point. It is absolutely inexcusable that a Boomer would be forced to spawn on the complete opposite side of a map that offers no even remotely safe way of approaching the survivors. It's simply not possible in the the Dark Carnival Finale for a Boomer, Spitter, or any other slow moving Infected to reach the survivors when they're spawned on the opposite side of the arena. I was spawned as a Boomer, and it immediately gave me the "Too Far Away" message. FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. The 5th time it spawned me, it dropped me directly in the middle of the survivors. Thankfully I was the Boomer and not the Spitter or something... This is just ridiculous, it CAN'T be the way you intended things to go... just remove it! Seriously! How bad can it be with infected choosing their spawn points? They'll still be just as depressingly underpowered as they are now... but at least they'll die in a split second closer to the survivors. i really only have a problem with it on the dark carnival finale.
its the worst finale ever pretty much built completly around campaign without versus in mind at all except for maybe the 3rd tank for when the helicopter comes... if u get lucky u can incap them as they are swarmed by CI |
