Windowed mode ?

Is there any way to run AvPC2k windowed ?

AvPLauncher doesn't help, apparently it generates a binary file in the game folder (AvP_Video.cfg) but the actual video settings are saved in a text file (in WinXP, C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Rebellion\AvP Classic\video.cfg)

I also tried adding the line "Windowed = 1" in video.cfg, to no avail.
Any suggestions ?

Bumping. I'd love a windowed mode option. I can get the main menu into a window using DXWnd, but it goes fullscreen when trying to start a map.

I know this thread is 6 months old, but here's how to do it:

Right click on the game in steam and go to Properties. From there, click Set Launch Options in the General tab. Type "-w" (without the quotes). Click OK and the game should now open in windowed mode.

This is something I don't recall was possible on the original boxed retail edition release.
