Mass Effect 2 Steam activation from Boxed?
Has it been announced if you can use the Mass Effect 2 retail key with Steam?
The reason i ask is, its cheaper on Play.com to buy the boxed version, plus you get free DLC with the package....whereas on Steam it costs more, and you just get a download. |

Won't happen, EA does not have any games on the list ( https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...7480-wusf-3601 ) and I don't think they are going to start with this one.

But you're right, EA has it's own stuff you activate your keys on, as well does Bioware so chances of an activation on Steam as well are close to nil. |

You cannot register a retail bought Mass Effect 2 to Steam and you cannot get "Steam achievements" in any version of the game. Mass Effect 2 has its own achievement system (I don't know if it syncs to your EA profile...I doubt it).
