Should I accept this offer on Craigslist?

I listed the following on my local Craigslist,

Quote:
DFI Blood Iron motherboard
ATI Radeon 4850 graphics card
Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 3.088 ghz
4 GB or Corsair Ram
Coolermaster Centrinium Case

NO HARDDRIVE, NO WINDOWS
So basically a gaming pc without the harddrive or Windows.

A guy offered me $250, should is that a fair price I should accept?

A tad on the low side.

That 4850 is probably still worth about $80-$100 on the used market. E7200 CPU around $80-$90, and the motherboard, RAM, case and PSU are definitely still worth more than just ~$70 altogether.

For that system I'd say no less than $350

Perhaps the system would be more appealing to buyers if you were to include a hard drive however.

So I should suggest $300?

If you are willing to take lower than what you could possibly get for it, yes.

I personally wouldn't take the $250, but make sure you move the hardware as soon as you can. If you procrastinate in selling computer parts, their value goes down pretty quickly.

$300 is a good price. The components are worth more than that ($70-$80 for RAM, $100 for GPU, ~$100 for CPU, good mobo/case) but you probably wont be able to sell for much more.

i would say 300-400 bucks. ur system is still a great one and isnt to far behind in times. as said already the GPU is 80-120 depending on which brand the GPU is like HIS, sapphire. also mobo should at least 65-100 bucks and then there is ur DVD drive and ram. and ur ram is a great brand to. and also theres a case theres just teh question on whats the PSU. i think u could easily get 350-400 for it.

I agree that you shouldn't take anything less than $300. Even that is a steal.

what u should do is haggle the haggler. say u were expecting 400 for and if he makes another offer then just go alittle higher. so if u say " i was hoping for 400" and then he says 325 then u raise it up that extra 25 bucks and there u have made 350. this is just one idea on how to get more then what u expected.

If you sign into ebay, you can do a search of 'completed auctions'. Give you a ballpark number.

I'd go for $350, $300 is a bit low, $250 is way too low. $400 should be the price if bargaining iddn't exist.

not even close considering you can buy a new one for that much. used hardware drops considerably in price.

i also wouldnt pay a dime more than 300 when i know the hardware has been OCed

OP, whats the psu?

Well then the people bidding on them on eBay are overspending.

Oh and I forgot to state I looked at the prices in CAD$. Although considering the current rates it's not a very big difference...

sell it. i waited to sell this system on cl and because i did i had to lower the price from $350 to $240. i had 7 potential buyers @ the $350 price but couldnt sell for a month so i had to let it go for $240...i probobly should have just kept it. anyway, specs.
