Tiered Friend management

Sure everyone wants friends. We want to have lots of friends so that we can show off to our less friended friends how befriended we are. We also want to make some of our unworthy friends feel less special than our BFFs.

Allow the Notifications & Sounds for Friend options to be applied individually.

Give worthy Friends sort priority over my other friends no matter how remiss they are in playing games on Steam.

You can already customise notifications and sounds for individual friends (nor customise as in make them different, but only alert when 'these' friends are online)

To do it just open your friends list and right click on any friend and the 2nd last option is "notification options"
