Its not a new worms game but an updated for steam/ modern computers version of worms armagadeon.

Well if you look at the feb 9th post it says:
"Now comes word from Team 17's Facebook page that a PC version is in the works via the Steam download service. The message states, "W2A on Steam is moving ahead, there will be a Beta test, so stay tuned for more info in the next few weeks.""

Team 17th facebook page, now it's on their twitter... It's nothing new.

I've stop loving the worms game when they have maked 3d game ...

If its a remake in 2d i will buy !

There already was a beta sign up a while ago (plus topic about it here as well) so it's pretty old news.

But still I can't wait.

It is 2D but uses a new engine I believe. I hear the physics are pretty wonky.

Don't worry, Worms 2: Armageddon is a 2D worms. It's already released on XBox 360, so look up some videos.

But Team17 said they'd change some things to make the PC version special. That's why they take so long to release a PC version, they don't do a simple port. Something i really appreciate as an old Worms fan. Started with Worms 1 CD version with a Intel 386 PC. Man, so many wasted hours with friends and family.

Yes yes YES. 1, 2, Armageddon, World Party, 3D. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Definite buy from me. I don't play Worms games much. My last one was Open Warfare 2 on the PSP since Tescos were being very silly and sold it new for £6, but they turned the servers off. I just hope it has a really good multiplayer and uses Steamworks. Oh god please let it use Steamworks.

Would also be nice if they use the original Armageddon as the base and add more content. Seems to me that every Worms since then has been a step back from that old and brilliant game.
