Hidden Achievements?

After the new UI update when you look at the details of Opposing Force, there's an achievements spot- saying there are 5 more achievements not shown on that page. But there aren't any current achievements for the game when you click the achievements link for the game.

There's the same thing with Half-Life 2 and Episode One, but we know they're supposedly working on getting the HD/achievement update for them out.

So what do you guys think, future update for Opposing Force or just a test/glitch?

I sincerely hope this isn't just a glitch and instead the possibility of achievements for this game.

EDIT: It appears Ricochet also shows achievements.

I saw it too, but they aren't loading for me. I hope they do exist.

Those simple-to-do things like achievments for all the other valve titles, or engine updates, would be incredibly awesome.
I don't get why valve doesnt take a bit of time for it

This isn't new, discussion about Op4 achievements have been around for a long time. The UI just happens to report achievements that aren't available.

What kind of achievement would be possible for opposing force? if there's just 5 of them, then i think it wont be a success adding them. I rather see valve add achievements for there newer games (2004 and forward) since older games are.... older =P

Imagine 300 new achievements for Counter-Strike. It would cause total chaos. xD

I asked about the achievements for OF on the UI page and someone said they have set up test achievements for 3 (source) games

They use the GoldSource engine a modded version of the quake 2 engine.

Indeed, I know all that. but saying "source" links me to the Source engine, not the GoldSrc

A seriously modded Quake 1 engine.

Source is a seriously modded Goldsource engine.

Achievements for the older Half-Life titles would be fantastic... And seriously, how much effort could it possibly be? Can't be that much... and it'd be so fun. And why should Valve spend time putting even more achievements on newer games? TF2 has like 200-400 achievements or something last I saw, L4D has like ~70 or so? L4D2 has what, ~50? That's plenty for all the new games. Now they should put a few on the older games...

But only on the forums. The self-declared hardcore/pro players would spend their lifes complaining and the rest can just play.

earlier in the steam beta this also happened for hl2 and hl2 ep 1 i got way exited but now they don't show up.... i just hope we totally get some cool achievements once they officially release the new steam UI!
