Buy M&B or wait for Warband?

I've played the demo recently and liked it. I loved the combat system and want to try out the mods.

However, Warband will come out pretty soon, so I don't know whether I should buy the original M&B or wait for Warband.

If you buy the game now you can try Warband MP Beta. Yet Warband will be out in a month. But also most mods will not be ported to Warband for some time; so if you want mods you should buy it now.

So, you do not have to own M&B in order to play Warband? like, a standalone?

I played Warband beta for free and that was just battles, I wouldn't recommend it if it's like the beta. But I don't think it will be the same, I will read the PCGamer article about it before I decide to buy it.

Warband will have a single player campaign and multiplayer battles with (for now) 7 game modes; Battle, Find&Destroy, Siege, Conquest, Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch.

Some of the new features for single player: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.p...c,82225.0.html

Hahaha xD
I can't wait for this game.
Imagine duels between the forum members. If anyone has a problem with someone else, let's duel in Warband. The winner will be rewarded with reputation and the loser will be punished with ban hahaha

The best mods will still be M&B only, so if you want the game for single player I would recommend M&B and to buy warband later if you cannot afford both now.

It will take a while as they have had some problems but don't ask them for a release date in their thread or they will scorn your very soul and rightly so.

I am waiting for it too, more than any other mod. Although second age looks really good which should be coming alot sooner.
