Angry Ubisoft DRM Hacked

Quote:
Ubisoft’s master plan has collapsed in under 24 hours, as infamous cracker group Skid-Row has tackled the new DRM and rendered it useless, meaning the only people now suffering with this ridiculous DRM are legitimate owners.
Imagine that.

Haha Skid-Row. You know, Ubisoft should employ these hackers to MAKE the DRM since they are so good at decrypting it. Not that i like DRM at all.

In fact, Steam is the most sensible and secure form of DRM for PC games and the only one which isn't a pain in the A.

And in other news, the sun rises in the east, and sets in the west.

Seriously, what did they expect was going to happen? If they wanted to make it difficult for the casual pirate, they failed, if they wanted to keep day 0 pirates at bay, they succeeded, but if you're going to steal the game you are going to be patient enough to wait for a couple days.

Incorrect. It's 50-50 between the pirates and the publishers response to the pirates.

Trying to legislate against human behavior will always fail, so business plans will always fail which go agaisnt HN.

That being said, some pirates are just greedy idiots who want something for nothing. Some.

Impulse Goo is the most painless form of DRM, objectively.

First time i heard of Impulse Goo but i took some reading. An option to resell the games is very good thing in it. I only wish Steam would have that too! I could get rid of alien versus predator and get some money for compensation.

Does Stardock work the same way as Steam does? You can download the games as many times as you need etc?
