Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down button

This is coming from someone who plays on PS3 (I'll be getting a proper gaming PC soon), the system with probably the least communication out of the three, since a headset costs $50 and there's obviously no text chat capability.

Anyway, I think there should be two buttons for 'Thumbs Up' and 'Thumbs Down' for basic communication, where 'Up' would represent "Thanks" or "Okay let's do it" or whatever, and 'Down' would represent "Idiot!" or "I'm not doing that" etc.

It could even be mapped to the up/down buttons on the controller's D-Pad, which go unused and it would make sense. Please no console bashing, this is merely a hopeful suggestion.
