Torchlight Coming to Consoles

Check it out: http://www.destructoid.com/torchligh...s-166565.phtml

Blizzard may keep hemming and hawing on whether or not Diablo III will leave its snuggly PC home, but Runic Games will make sure loot-hungry console gamers get their dungeon crawling fix. The team is making "serious efforts" to bring Torchlight to the non-PC crowd, and that's just super.

“We’re going to put some serious effort into it -- pretty quick-- getting Torchlight onto consoles," confirms Runic CEO Max Schaefer. "There’s a lot of really cool things about the console world, too, that would work well with our game. So, we are definitely going to be going in that direction."

Whatever helps that game sell more copies is fine by me. If you've never played it and you like Diablo clones with a hefty bit of charm, then you really need to get hold of this thing. It amazes me that you'd even be reading this right now.
We'll soon see our favourite hack'n'slash title coming to consoles. Thoughts?

Good for Runic! So many questions about what the console version will be like!

One button press per swing? How do you pick up good drops while leaving weak items on the floor? How do you navigate the menus and stat screens? And of course, will there be multiplayer??

It's going to need multiplayer co-op to succeed on XBL imo.

It'll probably get a similar treatment to "Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel" including as you say "press button to attack once" and a more "tabs and lists" based interface which is easier to navigate using a controller (namely the left/right bumpers/shoulder buttons).

I doubt it considering how there is no plans for it on even the PC version.

Adding multiplayer by using the same world after the game is done is *very hard*, which is why there will be no multiplayer for this game.

I may get it again... Maybe... I find most ARPGs on consoles a bit weird.
